CEVICHE IN MILAN
Peruvian culture seems to be more than present in Milanese society. Not only is the high percentage of Peruvians characteristic of the city’s contemporary demographic construction, but also cultural events regarding Peruvian identity are organized throughout Milan.
Last year, the Peruvian students of Politecnico University in Milan, organized the first event of ‘The world at polimi’, an occasion in which Peruvian culture was presented through the five senses.
Besides such educational initiatives to promote intercultural exchange in Milan, much importance is given to the Peruvian cuisine in the city, as many restaurants represent this country with their traditional dishes, starting from the famous ‘Tamal’ and the ‘Papa rellena’, to main ‘Arroz con pollo’, or ‘Ceviche de Pescado’ dishes.
